Armenian Caritas benevolent NGO is implementing the EU funded Recognize. Protect. Realize. project aiming to protect the right of displaced persons due to the Civil war in Syria and support their integration into Armenian society.
On April 12, within the framework of “Building Local Capacities to Reduce Irregular Migration and Trafficking” Project a discussion-training on migration took place at Gyumri secondary school No.8 with the participation of schoolchildren and some of the “Armenian Caritas” implementing partners. The meeting aimed at raising awareness on the opportunities and challenges of migration among schoolchildren. A hot discussion between the schoolchildren and the trainer started. One of the schoolchildren mentioned: “One of the widespread shortcomings of migration is the high risk of the spread of sexually transmitted diseases …

Armenian Caritas BNGO has a long standing support from Caritas Austria/Diocese of Feldkirch in various fields of social and economic development. Since the beginning of this partnership both organisations have placed a particular focus on providing services for people with disabilities and promoting their inclusion in the Armenian society.
For more than 19 years, Armenian Caritas BNGO has been serving community members and society by creating positive social change. Funded by Caritas Austria both organizations established of Emili Aregak Center which provides services for people with disabilities living in Gyumri. The Center was set up in 2008 with a primary focus of developing children’s physical and mental abilities in order to improve their social and life skills and prepare them to lead independent lives.
Overcoming the consequences of war together

Number of Beneficiaries: 16 representatives of non-governmental organizations from Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia (Chechnya)
Target group: NGO representatives from RA Gegharkunik, Lori, Shirak provinces and city of Yerevan, which have an experience in various projects on integration of refugees’ issues. Location: Armenia, Georgia, Ukraine and Russia (Chechnya)
Goal։ The goal of “Overcoming the consequences of war together” project is primarily aimed at supporting Ukrainian civil society in tackling the social conflicts resulting from the war in Eastern Ukraine.
This ToR defines the modalities and deliverables of the survey that is to be carried out for the purposes of the project titled “Community Action for Full Inclusion in Education “, funded by European Union, Austrian Development Agency and Caritas Austria.
Armenian Caritas (AC) with partnership of “National Association of School Parent Council Members” NGO (NASPCM) implements a project “Community Action for Full Inclusion in Education”. The overall objective of the project is as follows: “Children with disabilities who are currently out of education enjoy their human rights for inclusive education, as specified in the article 24 of UNCRPD”.

- An estimated 200 children with disabilities in school age who are out of education in Shirak Province
- 12 schools (6 urban, 6 rural) in Shirak Province (7 communities: 1 urban and 6 rural) with a particular focus on school authority, teachers (350) and all children (3150)
- The parents of children with disabilities who do not attend school in Shirak Province (estimated 300)
