That children be born under a peaceful sky.

Before moving to Armenia, Ani lived with her husband and five-year-old daughter in the village of Mamark in the Kashatagh region of Artsakh. The young family had dreams and goals, but everything vanished in one day. On the very first day of the war, on September 27, the shootings and explosions “forced” Ani to move to Armenia with her daughter. During that time, her husband was in Artsakh to defend the homeland during the war. In the chaotic situation, Ani did not take anything from their house, not even warm clothes. The family lost years of earnings in one day. After the Second Artsakh War the village was emptied of Armenians and came under the control of Azerbaijan.

The family was overjoyed to learn that they would have a baby, but the war caused many hardships including basic necessities, food, and clothing. The family was provided with food, bedding /hygiene kits within the framework of the Armenian Caritas “Multiple Support to the Affected Population as a result of the War in NK” project. Ani was most pleased with the items needed for the baby’s care. It was unexpected, happy, and most importantly very necessary for the family. Ani’s baby will be born soon, she is very happy; she does not feel alone in Armenia, there are people and organizations that are by her side and by families like her. Today Ani has only one wish, all children to be born under a peaceful sky
