I learned to love again

When she was five years old her mother died after giving birth to her younger sister. The girl did not remember her. All that had remained of her mother was a small photograph in the pages of a favorite book, and one of her earrings, which she wore carefully on a necklace close to her heart. She vaguely remembered the face of her grandmother as well, who took care of her, her two younger sisters and her brother after mother’s death. Then, one sad day, the grandmother also passed away. Months after granny’s death, she  said goodbye to her father and holding her brother’s hand entered an unfamiliar building, where there were many children like them. Then she would remember that day as a dream, because months later her father also died of a serious illness. The blows followed one another: the two younger sisters were adopted and taken to another country, the relationship with the brother was no longer as warm as before. Nare came to “Sabine” social small home in the winter of 2020. Quiet, balanced, organized, restrained. this is how she was. The constant fear of losing had made her cautious, and the loneliness had made her count every step to avoid getting hurt again. Then, months later, when “Sabine” became her home and there appeared relatives and friends in her life, the girl admitted “In Sabine, I learned to love again…” Endowed with natural intelligence, diligence and determination, Nare achieved considerable success in his studies. With the efforts and support of the “Sabine” social home, she managed to complete additional courses and became one of the few students of the orphanage who continued their further study at the higher educational institution. During the period of living in Sabine, with the support of team, the positive relations with the brother were also restored.    It’s already a year that Nare lives with her brother for about a year. She continues to deepen her knowledge of the English language, which for her is a guarantee of serious prospects, good work and new successes. The skills and abilities acquired in “Sabine” had made her strong, self-confident and dedicated. She willingly took on the great responsibility of her and her brother’s small family. Now, the most pleasant moments for her are the via video link conversations with her sisters who live in Italy (the connection was restored and became permanent during the years of living in the SGH). She proudly shows her baked pastries to her sisters and reminds them: “I have learned at Sabine…”
