Goal

Create positive social change in the society by providing sustainable care services to disadvantaged elderly people in Gyumri and Tashir cities.

Description:

The beneficiaries of the project are 110 elderly people, the majority of them live alone and need geriatric care and socialization. The target locations are Gyumri (50 elderly) and Tashir (60 elderly).
The project provides social, hygiene and healthcare services, nutrition and entertainment activities to 50 elderly living in Gyumri and 60 elderlies living in Tashir.

The beneficiaries spend their daily time in a cozy and friendly atmosphere at the Centers where they can spend their daily time and socialize with each other.
The Coordinators of the Day Care Centers (DCC) locally organize and coordinate daily operations. Social Workers organize daily entertainment and socializing activities for the beneficiaries, including visits to museums, theatres, public events, etc.

Nurses provide basic healthcare services and first priority medicines according to their individual needs.

The volunteers assist the beneficiaries and DCC staff in hygiene care (laundry, ironing, hair trimming, etc.), organizing social events and entertainment activities, accompanying the beneficiaries to healthcare and other social institutions.
