The multipliers of the AC project ”Promotion of Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education for All in Armenia” not only actively take part in different events organized within the frame of the same project, but also share their knowledge, experience and changes of their own paradigm with other students. Under the title: ”My success story”, we are going to introduce the individual experience of the mutipliers on how the inclusion has become a lifestyle.
Years ago I took part in a social survey, which, apparently, was about inclusive education.
I was asked the following question: “If I had a child with a disability, and he/she was banned from studying at public school, would it be considered a violation of Child rights?”
I answered, “No, it wouldn’t. If he/she were allowed, other children’s rights would be violated.”
Such is our society, and I had exactly the same approach when I had no idea about inclusive education.
I have been taking part in this project of Armenian Caritas for almost two years. If you could imagine how ashamed I am of the answer I gave then.
There’s a good saying, it goes like this: “If we put garbage in a box, it’ll become a garbage can. If we put a jewel in it, it’ll become a jewel box.”
We are what we put in our heads. I think this project has put a jewel in my head.
