Puberty is a time of discovery, rousing feelings and investigation of new behaviours including engagement in unprotected sex, sex with multiple partners, and experimentation with substance use (alcohol, illicit drugs and other substances).
Lack of easily available counselling services, trained personnel, information and educational programmes on healthy lifestyle, reproductive health and prevention of drug abuse, spread of sexually-transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS puts many Armenian young people,
In 2013, Gyumri will have a new model disability care center composed of therapeutic, informational, and vocational training centers as well as public parks for children and youth with multiple disabilities. The project is a long-term dream of Armenian Caritas that was made possible by the cooperation of Caritas Austria/Vorarlberg Diocese.

“Equal Opportunities for Outstanding Students” project was launched in 2011. The project becomes possible with generous contributions from Caritas Austria. The target of the project is Armenian students from disadvantaged familieswho have high records at their educational institutions.

The target of the project is Armenian students from disadvantaged familieswho have high records at their educational institutions.The project provides them with material assistance necessary for their educational process. Since the beginning of this year the organization has assisted 15 students partially or fully covering their tuition expenses and providing with the necessary musical instruments.
In November 8, 2011 Armenian Caritas BNGO organized a press conference at Journalist’s Club “Asparez” in regards of disagreements with the RA Ministry of Education and Science and the letter forwarded to RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan.

The problem arose 5 months ago when the Ministry of Education and Science of RA dissolved the Agronomic Academy’s pivot Gymnasium in Akhurian which was reconstructed in the frames of “German Friendship” project sponsored by Kardinal Frings Gymnasium of Bonn,
“Healthy mentality-healthy family”

The project “Healthy mentality-healthy family” is very unique in its type, emphasizing the importance of the formation of healthy families and raising of healthy generation, the value of the family and creation of the “third one” with the unity of “two”.
The ultimate goal is to emphasize the importance of the Holy Matrimony, the daily “work” to be done by the couples to maintain their families,
Day Care Center For The Elderly

Location: Gyumri City(Shirak Province) and Tashir City(Lori Province)
Goal
Create positive social change in the society by providing sustainable care services to disadvantaged elderly people in Gyumri and Tashir cities.
Description:
The beneficiaries of the project are 110 elderly people, the majority of them live alone and need geriatric care and socialization.
