The “Little Prince” Children ‘s Social Center in Gyumri organized a yard camp on July 19-23 for 81 children, 61 of who were our beneficiaries, and 20 of whom were community children, 13 of whom had special needs, and disabilities. The camp was attended by children aged 10-14, and children aged 15-18, as well as volunteers, 21 people worked as detachment leaders and organizers. The camp was full of many sports, cultural, intellectual games, and puzzles.
Day 1
A day of inspiration and active participation
All the mornings of the camp the campers started with a line:
According to the tradition, when Noah went down to Ararat, he saw that some fabric had formed on the bottom of the Ark, he touched it, he saw that the wool had been compressed by moisture, a blanket had formed, the first piece. This is a testimony that connects the formation of the district with the Armenian Highlands. In the past, only men were engaged in carpet weaving in Armenia․ To be sloppy or sloppy, you needed strength to bury the wool. The torn wool was spread evenly on the floor, and the log was rolled over until it was completely buried.
On the occasion of the 11th anniversary of ”Little Prince” Gavar Social day care Center of Armenian Caritas BNGO, a solemn event was organized. The Event gathered the Center’s beneficiary children and their parents, the Little Prince graduates, the Center’s staff, volunteers and mentors. The reporting event was based on the ideology of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s ”Little Prince” novella, including artistic performances, videos from the Center’s opening ceremony up to the eleven years’ activity.
The Center’s mentors were awarded certificates of appreciation for supporting the project, successful cooperation, and devoted work with the children.
