Growing Healthy: balanced nutrition and improved development opportunities for children

Duration: 01.02.2023-01.02.2026 Location: Shirak region  Ghazanchi, Sepasar: until November 2023                 Gyumri  Number of beneficiaries:   184 children and their families   Recognizing the importance of food security and healthy nutrition in the growth and development of pre-school age children Armenian Caritas implements Growing Healthy Project in three  kindergartens in Gyumri (“Lilit’’, ”Mush” development center, and “Erazank”). The Projects aims at improving food and nutrition security of children, enhancing capacities of preschool teaching staff and promoting parental involvement. Dignified life for elderlies-home care services and volunteer work in the care of vulnerable groups

Day Care Center for The Elderly

Sabine: Assistance Services to Children and Families in Difficult Living Conditions

Project Duration: 01.02.2024-01.02.2026 Number of Beneficiaries: Up to 10 children and their families Location: Vanadzor, Lori Region   Goal: In Lori Region, the right to grow up in a safe and nurturing environment is upheld for up to ten children without parental care receiving full time care in Sabine SGH and the risks of child-family separation are mitigated in families in difficult situations. Description: The Project suggests a family-type Small Group Home model as alternative to large orphanages and as an interim solution during the transitional period for children who do not currently have the opportunity to live with a biological or other family.

Warm Winter. Respectable Life for Vulnerable families and Elderly

Project Duration: December 1, 2020 – On going Number of Beneficiaries:  1115 Direct beneficiaries of the program are the lonely and disabled elderly that are included in other projects of Armenian Caritas. Among those 120 elderly people are from AC “Home Care for the Elderly” project in Gyumri 50 elderly people from Day Care Center Project in Gyumri: 200 elderly from SDC (Supplementary Project to Day Care Center); 80 lonely elderly from “Home Care for the Elderly” in Vanadzor,
