December 3rd is the International Day of Persons with Disability. Within the framework of “My Right. Inclusive Education in Armenia and Kosovo” project a visit was organized to “Little Prince” day care center of Armenian Caritas with the participation of children and their parents involved in the project. On November 13, 2019, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan and Executive Director of “Armenian Caritas” Benevolent NGO Gagik Tarasyan signed a Memorandum of Understanding by which an agreement was reached to implement coordinated cooperative steps for sustainable development of communities in the Republic of Armenia.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to develop bilateral cooperation in enhancing the quality of services provided by local authorities, introducing effective governance mechanisms, implementing economic development and reform programs in consolidated communities, and many other areas aimed at improving community life. The Memorandum is also aimed at helping to expand fundraising opportunities.
Navur village’s football player scored a sharp goal to the Chinchin village’s football team and opened the football match. The game was going in a tense struggle and atmosphere, two realized uncompromising attacks and counterattacks. The children of Navur village supported to their native village team, sitting on the near slope and on a few benches along the football field and chanting: “Na-vur, Na-vur.”
Few months ago two villages’ children hadn’t any opportunity to organize such type of football play. But from now not only the Navur village’s but also the neighboring villages will be able to train and play on the newly opened football field with all the necessary amenities.

Introduction

October 1 is celebrated as the International Day of elderly. It is an opportunity to give a respect to those people who earned the right to have a dignified old age and a chance to refer to their problems and find ways of solving them. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the country and society to provide decent living conditions for older persons and take care of them.
“Armenian Caritas” believes that elderly people in Armenia deserve to lead a worthy life, to receive free first aid from the country and use social, cultural as well as home health care services.
On the first of October there was a commission for people with disabilities which was held the Loris’ provincial administration in the conference hall which was directed by the governor of Lori A. Ghukhasian. The conference was dedicated to the International Day of the Elderly and to the ‘’Armenian Caritas’’ benevolent NGO organizations’ program ‘’Home Care for Elderly’’ in Vanadzor about 12 years of work activity.
A memorandum of cooperation was signed by the director of Armenian Caritas organization G. Tarasian, and by the supervisor of people with disabilities as well the governor of the Loris’ provincial commission A.

- CD’s have access to comprehensive rehabilitation, educational, social services and care at community level
- Health, education, livelihood service provision ensured child’s social inclusion and empowerment
- Community based kindergartens have necessary and adopted technical facilities, rehabilitation rooms, methodological manuals.
- Quality of community-based preschool is improved to better respond to the needs of CD’s
- Capacity building for multi-professional specialists and staff involved in provision of community based services to facilitate greater inclusion of girls and boys is conducted

On September 8, under the high auspices of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy Mr. Vincenzo Del Monaco and his wife Diane Del Monaco, a charity dinner was held. All proceeds being transferred to the Little Prince centers of Armenian Caritas to ensure continuity of the project. The Malkhas band performed at the dinner.
In the evening there was also an auction, which featured balls provided by the Football Federation of Armenia and Italy and football shirts with the signature of the players. The auction proceeds were also transferred to Little Prince centers.
