Overall objective: To contribute to the development of effective community-based services that meet CD’s individual needs including healthcare, education and social inclusion.

Project Description:
Project results

  • CD’s have access to comprehensive rehabilitation, educational, social services and care at community level
  • Health, education, livelihood service provision ensured child’s social inclusion and empowerment
  • Community based kindergartens have necessary and adopted technical facilities, rehabilitation rooms, methodological manuals.
  • Quality of community-based preschool is improved to better respond to the needs of CD’s
  • Capacity building for multi-professional specialists and staff involved in provision of community based services to facilitate greater inclusion of girls and boys is conducted

Project Activities

  • Organization of modules of trainings and coaching of multi-professional staff members and community representatives
  • Provision of therapeutic rehabilitation services/ physiotherapy, ergo therapy, psychological services, art therapy, music therapy, dance therapy, speech therapy/
  • Implementation of social work among the target families living in Amasia and Gtashen
  • Implementation of awareness raising campaigns for parents
  • Preschool educators participate in educational activities
  • Project consultant/experts provides constant professional supervision
  • Implementation of the training programme for preschool/school staff
  • Implementation of modules of trainings on Positive Parenting for parents
  • Daily full operation and provision of services
  • Daily 1- time snack provision
    – Provision of hygienic items
  • Social Events and Public Awareness Raising Campaigns, Advocacy
  • Implementation of life skills, educational development activities for CD’s
  • Mapping of existing preschool institutions, other local institutions’ capacities that can be used
  • Renovation, adaptation of program spaces in targeted community
  • Provide relevant equipment & supplies to start the project
  • Local communities’ members participate in round table discussions
  • Policlinic working staff participate in case discussion
  • Organization of participative consultations with relevant stakeholders to collect their inputs regarding the optimization of PEI’s

  •  60 children (0-6 years old) living in target locations Amasia and Gtashen.
