Acquiring equipment for Day Care Centers for elderly in Gyumri and Tashir

Number of Beneficiaries: 110 beneficiaries of Day Care Centers in Gyumri and Tashir

Goal: The aim of the project is to renew the old equipment at both Day Care Centers which will enhance comfort at the Centers and quality of services provided.

Description: The DCC for Elderly in Gyumri operates since 2006 and the one in Tashir – since 2007, they jointly serve 110 beneficiaries. The equipment and furniture at the Centers were obtained the time they were established and over the years a part of it has become worn out and malfunctioning.

Informative visit to “Little Prince” day care center of Gyumri

December 3rd is the International Day of Persons with Disability. Within the framework of “My Right. Inclusive Education in Armenia and Kosovo” project a visit was organized to “Little Prince” day care center of Armenian Caritas with the participation of children and their parents involved in the project. During the informative visit project’s children and beneficiary children of the center got acquainted with each other. Later, the staff of the center introduced parents the criteria for admitting children to their center, as well as the work done with children, and the activities organized for children. Meanwhile, all children participated in the cooking,

“On the way to a better understanding and concrete implementation of the spiritual principles of Armenian Caritas”.

A reflection for CNEWA on Armenian Caritas identity in the perspective of faith dimension

Armenian Caritas is a part of the large family of Caritas Internationalis-a confederation of national Caritas organizations which all share the same mission of “Caritas”-charity of the Catholic Church to the people in need everywhere and anytime. Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of RA and “Armenian Caritas” BNGO

On November 13, 2019, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Suren Papikyan and Executive Director of “Armenian Caritas” Benevolent NGO Gagik Tarasyan signed a Memorandum of Understanding by which an agreement was reached to implement coordinated cooperative steps for sustainable development of communities in the Republic of Armenia.

The purpose of the Memorandum is to develop bilateral cooperation in enhancing the quality of services provided by local authorities, introducing effective governance mechanisms, implementing economic development and reform programs in consolidated communities, and many other areas aimed at improving community life. The Memorandum is also aimed at helping to expand fundraising opportunities.
