World Summit of child leaders: towards ending violence against children

November 20th is the World Children’s day. On November 20th Caritas India organized the World Summit of child leaders, inviting children from Caritas Confederation across the globe. Around 100 Child Leaders, CSOs, INGOs and Govt. Representatives from India and other countries participated in the Summit. Armenian Caritas was represented by child speaker Tatevik Asatryan, youth club member of the project ”My Right. Inclusive Education in Armenia and Kosovo”.  Tatevik spoke on the name of all children of Armenia and Artsakh, presenting the challenges and violence children faced during COVID 19 pandemic and war in Artsakh.

With her speech Tatevik called all organizations on human rights to pay more attention to the most vulnerable part of our society:

EU supported IRIS Business Incubator announces the 2nd CALL for APPLICATIONS for three simultaneously running programmes: SPARK, BUILD and START to cover the business support initiatives designated for the “Increased Resilience of Syrian Armenians and Host Population” (IRIS) programme. IRIS Business Incubator target groups are mainly Syrian Armenians and the host population who run or aim to start businesses in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Pandemic Emergency Assistance

Background:   In Armenia the first confirmed cases of COVID-19 were announced in the beginning of March, 2020. On March 16, 2020, Armenia declared a state of emergency, taking measures to minimize risks of infection during the outbreak of COVID-19[1]. Actions included closure of schools and universities, prohibiting the activities of public catering facilities, trade, public events with more than 20 persons in attendance,

         We have celebrated 25 years of the beginning of Caritas Georgia and Armenia.  Caritas Georgia and Armenia are members of the Caritas Internationalis, a charitable organization of the Catholic Church, founded in 1897.  Caritas Internationalis is a confederation of over 165 Caritas agencies working in over 200 countries and territories around the world.

No child in Armenia should be left out of education

The basis of the powerful state is the educated generation. Stressing the importance and role of education, as well as the right of each child to get educated and be included in the society, Armenian Caritas with the support of its partners continues to support beneficiaries with educational needs.

This time also the willingness to support our beneficiary children was expressed by our partner Austrian Development Agency. Beneficiary children with disabilities and target kindergartens of the project ”My Right. Inclusive Education in Armenia and Kosovo” funded by Autrian Development Agency, got computers based on some predefined criteria.
