Goal: To contribute to the promotion of social economy and employability among the population of the unified bordering communities of Gegharkunik (Vardenis), Lori (Alaverdi), and Shirak (Ani) Provinces of RA.

 

Description: “ARAMAZD: SEED” project offers community socio-economic rehabilitation and activation program, which will continue in 2022-2025. The logic of all the implemented actions, promoting economic and civic development processes, raising the level of social responsibility in all spheres of the community, supporting the empowerment of the potential of the community population, advancing local leaders, developing the social economy model in the community and in sphere of vocational education. Consolidated communities, which bring together about a dozen’s more or less weak settlements, will have the opportunity to create or develop already established social entrepreneurial units, making results more sustainable by targeting vulnerable but active and leadership potential. The social entrepreneurial units will be aimed at improving the quality of vocational education for the population, by creating job opportunities, and implementing an effective model of community development.

Expected results:

  • Enhancement of sectoral capacities of local government, businesses, CSOs and active youth, focusing on the social economy.
  • Establishment of Social Economy Entities that provide financial and technical support for one VET in each target region.
  • Promotion of the network through self-organization, participatory management based on social transformation methodology, policies, principles, values.
  • Capitalization of capacity building activities.
  • The final design of a equitable community development model according to the public administration strategy and network-based experience.
  • Implementation of best practices for social transformation as a result of network’s collective efforts and engagement
