Tatevik Asatryan has been selected as our Volunteer of the Month for January, 2019!
Tatevik has been volunteering in two projects ran by Armenian Caritas: “HAIV/HIDs Prevention in Post- Soviet countries” and “Community action for full inclusion in education” since 2016.
Tatevik is a peer educator above mentioned project and had sessions in rural schools. She also actively participates in the events organized within the project.
She has also been involved in the “Community action for full inclusion in education” project and organized debates in schools with children having disabilities.
“The stimulus for doing volunteer work for me was Armenian Caritas especially the project “HAIV/HIDs Prevention in Post- Soviet countries”. First I participated in the session within the project as a school representative and then made a decision of becoming a volunteer.
Volunteering is a way of living for me. When you realize that something good is done for somebody to feel better means everything to me.
Volunteering gave me a lot. Many things have changed in me. Thanks to volunteering, I have gained many skills that are just life skills for me.
By doing a volunteer work, you can change a lot in the country, teach people to be caring and to care for one another, raise issues that seem smaller and fill some gaps. I am very happy to be volunteer and help people in need” says Tatevik.
