Happy Aregak was shot with children from Aregak Day Care Center of Armenian Caritas BNGO. The Center provides developmental and social services to children with multiple disabilities and their families.

The video has been produced within the project Window to the World aiming to improve the conditions of persons with disabilities in Gyumri. The Center provides information, counseling, psychological support and referrals to the relevant organizations via free hotline service (0 8000 10 11 for landline calls).

The Window to the World project implements recommendations* from the UN Convention of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Currently, there are over 8,000 Armenian children with disabilities registered.
• 13% live in institutions
• 18% do not attend school
• 33% do not participate in their communities
• 77% do not get the rehabilitation services they need

*Article 8 – Awareness-raising: to promote positive perceptions and greater social awareness towards persons with disabilities.
