SOCIAL ECONOMY COMPETITION FOR PILOT LOTS

Within the framework of EcoSE “Socio-economic ecoSEstem development in Tchambarak United Community” project of “Armenian Caritas” benevolent NGO, a competition is announced for financing pilot lots in the united community of Tchambarak, in which representatives of CSOs, SMEs and sole proprietors of the community of Tchambarak are invited to participate.

 

  1. The Idea of Social Economy

Social Economy (hereinafter referred to as SE) puts solving social problems and social interests at the core of its activities and invests most of its profits in creating positive social changes and solving social problems for the benefit of the economic stability of the enterprise or the local community, as well as to achieve educational, environmental and social goals. SE strives to achieve the common good and social cohesion by producing goods or providing services that can be profitable. SE strives to meet the needs of the community through an innovative approach, encouraging participation and contributing to the expansion of employment opportunities and the inclusion of vulnerable groups in the social sphere.

 

  1. The Purpose of Implementing SE Pilot Lots

Within the framework of the project, the SE pilot lots in Tchambarak united community will serve as practical examples of SE principles, with the following objectives:

 

  • Involving vulnerable groups through innovative/experimental approaches;
  • Creating qualified jobs to promote social inclusion;
  • Empowering the community to meet the needs of socially vulnerable groups;
  • Developing the local socio-economic ecosystem by ensuring SE

 

  1. SE implementation area

The SE pilot lots will be implemented in Tchambarak United Community, aiming to address specific community needs and the issues of vulnerable groups.

 

 

  1. Condition for applying to pilot lots
  • Be a social enterprise, NGO, foundation, cooperative, or business entity operating in the Tchambarak community;
  • Engage in socially-oriented business;
  • Have experience in implementing social and economic projects;
  • Provide justification for how the SE pilot lots will address specific issues of a social group.

 

 

  1. Requirements for applying to pilot lots
  • Submit the completed Annex 1;
  • Submit Annex 2 for a maximum amount equivalent to 1500 EUR in AMD, detailing the equipment/property or renovation materials needed to establish or repurpose the SE Pilot Lots;
  • Provide a memorandum of cooperation with the local authority or the United Social Services of Tchambarak Center, including quantitative data on activities directed at socially vulnerable groups;
  • Submit photos of the SE pilot lots being established.
