Growing Healthy: balanced nutrition and improved development opportunities for children

Location: Gyumri, Ghazanchi, Sepasar (Shirak Region) Duration: 01.02.2020-01.02.2023 Number of beneficiaries: 198 children and their families  Recognizing the importance of  food security and healthy nutrition   in the growth and  development  of pre-school   age  children Armenian Caritas implements Growing Healthy Project in two preschool institutions in Gyumri / “Gyumru Mankik’’ and “Mush” Children Center/and two kindergartens in the villages of Ghazanchi and Sepasar. The Projects aims at improving food and nutrition security of children, enhancing capacities of preschool teaching staff and promoting parental involvement.

Project Duration: 01.02.2022 – 31.01-2024 Number of Beneficiaries:  300  families-700  children Location: Gyumri Background:   To prevent the reproduction of poverty the project proposes to introduce a multidimensional poverty reduction approach, which will ensure more prospective support to the young parents (10 parents from 20-30 years old per year), giving them chance to acquire job-related education and skills, thus ensuring small income for caring about essential family needs as well as to the younger age-group of the family (15 children from 16-20 years old per year) by covering their fee at the Educational Institutions.
