ART STUDENTS` PERCEPTION OF TRAFFICKING

“Armenian Caritas” BNGO held a “Migration and trafficking: human exploitation” contest for all students of the Terlemezyan Fine Arts College. The aim of the contest was to raise awareness of population about the risks of migration and trafficking through sculptures, painting, design and other art works. “Armenian Caritas” BNGO held a “Migration and trafficking: human exploitation” contest for all students of the Terlemezyan Fine Arts College. One year ago in the frame of the program “The development of human rights defender’s office’s capacity during the elections of the Republic of Armenia 2012-2013” there were established regional offices of Ombudsman in six regional centers of Armenia. The new office of Armenian Caritas BNGO in Gavar was launched on May 3. Henceforward all projects in Gavar will be implemented at 45 house on the street after Artsruni brothers. In particular there will operate “Little Prince” social center for children, and local offices of “Aramazd Social-Educational Development” and “Home Care in Gavar” projects. THE OPENED DOOR

Sheltered in Armenian Catholic Center of Yerevan, 47 Syrian refugees were pleased to host the Minister of Diaspora of the RA Hranush Hakobyan in their new “home”.There are about 7000 Syrian refugees in Armenia, who faced different problems upon arrival to their Armenian homeland. The minister, who is well aware of the situation, considerately follows up all projects that assist Syrian refugees to settle down in Armenia. Vorarlberg Street in Gyumri

On March 12, 2013 the council of Gyumri in the reply to the letter of Armenian Caritas NGO, made a decision to rename the 15th street of Ani district as Vorarlberg, taking into account the valuable contribution of Austria’s Vorarlberg region in reconstruction of Gyumri. The collaboration between Austria and Gyumri began in post-earthquake period, when groups of Austran volunteers arrived in Gyumri and brought with them humanitarian aid.
