“Little Prince” Day care social centers / Gyumri and Vanadzor

Project Duration: March 2024 – February 2027

Number of Beneficiaries:400 children and their family members

Location: Gyumri (Shirak Province) and Vanadzor (Lori Province)

 

Goal: To contribute to the social protection of disadvantaged children and child protection reforms in Armenia.

Description:

The project strives to integrate disadvantaged children and youth through providing social and psychological work, promotion of healthy lifestyle and educational and life-skills trainings. Other objectives of the project are provision of their families with proper knowledge and skills for improving their social conditions and work with communities and schools for better understanding the children needs and gaining their support for integration of children.

Primary direct target group of the project are 10-18 years old 400 children and youth (200 in Gyumri inclusive center, and 200 in Vanadzor center) from disadvantaged families and members of their families. These are mainly the families that have low budgets, low parenting abilities, low level of education.

Secondary direct targets are Gyumri and Tashir communities and 15 community secondary schools: 9 schools in Gyumri and 6 in Vanadzor.

“Little Prince” Social Center for Children in Artashat

Project Duration: 03.01.2024-31.12.2024

Number of Beneficiaries: 140 children and their families

Location: Artashat (Ararat Province)

 

Goal: To contribute to the social protection of disadvantaged children, youth and their families in Artashat and neighboring rural communities․

Description:

The aim of the project is to contribute to the integration of disadvantaged children, youth and their family members through providing them with social and psychological services, conducting life skills trainings and promoting healthy lifestyle. Among the objectives of the project is the provision of professional orientation and vocational trainings to the children and their parents, as well as the active cooperation with schools and communities to understand children’s needs and support their effective integration and social inclusion.

To promote the emotional safety, inclusivity, and personal development of children by implementing evidence-based practices and innovative approaches that foster social-emotional well­being, resilience, and community engagement

The project strives to integrate disadvantaged children and youth through providing social and psychological work, promotion of healthy lifestyle and educational and life-skills trainings. Other objectives of the project are provision of their families with proper knowledge and skills for improving their social conditions and work with communities and schools for better understanding the children needs and gaining their support for integration of children.
