Goal
This project contributes to alleviating the suffering of many displaced civilians inside Armenia and helps the different stakeholders in easing the burden caused by the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis.
This project is a humanitarian project and it contributes to amelioration of Hungarian-Armenian relations.
This project contributes to assuring a more positive image of Hungary among the Armenians inside and outside Armenia.
Project beneficiaries
The beneficiaries of the project are 60 elderly and/or people with disabilities who had fled from Nagorno-Karabagh conflict.
The target location is Artashat city of Ararat Province.
Activities
- Providing care and integration to people from Nagorno-Karabakh in the framework of elderly care and home care services.
- Increasing community resilience and integration for war-affected and displaced families: sheltering refugees.
- Providing basic needs (emergency assistance and basic care) to elderly people who have fled the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict affected area, supporting the integration of individuals facing problems of placement and housing.
- Providing elderly care and home care services to vulnerable elderly residents, development of elderly homes and day care services, provision of health screenings and regular medical check-ups for elderly residents, development of home health services including e.g., training of home care workers, provision of post-trauma support and mental health services.
- Selecting the most vulnerable older people with no or limited capacity for self-care.
- Awareness raising and sensitisation on the subject.
- Facilitating integration (mediation, programmes)
