Project description:

Goal: Contribution to the sustainable anchoring of inclusive and qualitative education systems in Armenia and Georgia within the framework of educational reforms.

 

Project objective 1: Development of the participating educational institutions on national best practice models regarding inclusive education.

Result 1.1 Teachers and educational staff have strengthened inclusive skills.

Result 1.2 Parent and pupil representatives are actively involved in school development processes.

Result 1.3 Self-help groups work independently and autonomously

Result 1.4 Implementation, evaluation and conceptualization of individual school development plans for inclusion (ISDP)

 

Project objective 2: Anchoring and handing over the representation of interests in relation to inclusive education to networks and stakeholder initiatives.

Result 2.1 An extended network of parents’ councils, as well as NGOs and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (ODPs) are effectively promoting inclusive education.

Result 2.2 The capacity of day-care centres will be strengthened so that they can serve as inclusive resource centres.

Result 2.3. Making inclusion visible in society

 

Project objective 3: Anchoring and state-wide expansion of the developed concepts by the respective ministries of education

Result 3.1 Handover of developed and tested concepts for inclusion to the Ministries of Education

Result 3.2 Nationwide scaling and dissemination of the participating pilot educational institutions

Result 3.3 Promoting evidence-based policy through research and policy recommendations
