Background
The Caritas Aregak Foundation (CAF), officially established in 2020, is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities (PWD), their families, and vulnerable groups in Gyumri and the Shirak region. As a daughter organization of Armenian Caritas, CAF continues a legacy of social inclusion and protection initiatives that began in 2008. The foundation’s mission is rooted in dignity, equity, and empowerment principles, striving to create opportunities for economic independence, community integration, and holistic well-being. Through its multifaceted programs, CAF aims to empower individuals, foster resilience, and advocate for systemic changes that enable PWD and vulnerable groups to thrive as active, valued members of society.
The “Strong and Empowered Women” subgrant project is implemented by Caritas Aregak Foundation within the period of February 2025 to September 2025 within the framework of the “EQUAL – EU 4 Women Empowerment in Armenia” project.
“EQUAL – EU 4 Women Empowerment in Armenia” project is implemented by OxYGen Foundation, European Partnership for Democracy NGO, Netherlands Helsinki Committee NGO, Women’s Support Center NGO, WINNET Goris Development Foundation in cooperation with Winnet Sweden NGO. The project is funded by the European Union.
The project supports the economic empowerment of women with disabilities and GBV survivors to enhance their financial and business skills.
The project seeks gender mainstreaming experts to train businesses and organizations in gender-sensitive policies and inclusive workplace practices.
Scope of Work
The selected expert(s) will:
- Conduct training on gender-sensitive and inclusive policies for businesses and CSOs.
- Provide guidance on gender mainstreaming in employment and business practices.
- Facilitate awareness-raising sessions and discussion meetings to challenge stereotypes.
Deliverables
- Gender-sensitive workplace policy guidelines.
- Training materials and sessions for local businesses and CSOs.
- Practical strategies to integrate gender-responsive practices in organizations.
Selection Criteria
- Expertise in gender studies, gender mainstreaming, or related fields.
- Experience in training and policy development for inclusive workplaces.
- Strong facilitation skills in engaging diverse groups.
Application Procedure
Interested applicants should submit:
- CV and relevant experience
- Description of the proposed program of sessions and proposed training methodology
- Schedule of sessions for 2 discussion meetings, 4 training sessions and 1 awareness-raising meeting (each session approx. 2-hour duration for 5-10 participants)
- Financial proposal
