Background
The Caritas Aregak Foundation (CAF), officially established in 2020, is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities (PWD), their families, and vulnerable groups in Gyumri and the Shirak region. As a daughter organization of Armenian Caritas, CAF continues a legacy of social inclusion and protection initiatives that began in 2008. The foundation’s mission is rooted in dignity, equity, and empowerment principles, striving to create opportunities for economic independence, community integration, and holistic well-being. Through its multifaceted programs, CAF aims to empower individuals, foster resilience, and advocate for systemic changes that enable PWD and vulnerable groups to thrive as active, valued members of society.
The “Strong and Empowered Women” subgrant project is implemented by Caritas Aregak Foundation within the period of February 2025 to September 2025 within the framework of the “EQUAL – EU 4 Women Empowerment in Armenia” project.
“EQUAL – EU 4 Women Empowerment in Armenia” project is implemented by OxYGen Foundation, European Partnership for Democracy NGO, Netherlands Helsinki Committee NGO, Women’s Support Center NGO, WINNET Goris Development Foundation in cooperation with Winnet Sweden NGO. The project is funded by the European Union.
The project aims to provide economic empowerment opportunities to women with disabilities and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) to enhance their financial and business skills. “Caritas Aregak” Foundation seeks expert trainers to conduct financial literacy and business planning sessions.
Scope of Work
The selected expert(s) will be responsible for:
- Conducting financial literacy training (budgeting, saving, basic accounting).
- Delivering business planning workshops, including market research and proposal development.
- Assisting participants in developing individual business plans.
Deliverables
- Training sessions tailored to the needs of women with disabilities and GBV survivors.
- Individualized business plan templates and tools.
- Pre- and post-training assessments to measure participants’ progress.
Selection Criteria
- Proven expertise in financial literacy, business planning, or related fields.
- Experience in training vulnerable groups, particularly women.
- Ability to deliver interactive and accessible training.
Application Procedure
Interested applicants should submit:
- CV and relevant experience
- Description of the proposed program of sessions and proposed training methodology
- Schedule of sessions for 5 sessions (one for weekly, each session approx. 1,5-hour duration for 20 participants)
- Financial proposal
