33_10Armenian Caritas in cooperation with German Red Cross and “Fur Armenian” foundation hold the action “Buddy Bear” on 28th of October at 3p.m on the area in front of the Gyumri State Drama Theater named after Vardan Adjemyan.

The main objective of the action was to draw public attention to children with disabilities and their issues. The beneficiaries of the Armenian Caritas center “Aregak” for children with multiple disabilities colored the Bear brought from Germany with the images of flower, heart, and butterfly. The action was also colored by participation of the dance group of Shirak ordinary social-educational center. Children participants of the action excited and inspired by beautiful tunes and dance started dancing and merged with the dancing group. Other participants expressed their feelings through chalk-drawing.

The idea of this project belongs to Rainer Otto, and the creative part is provided by Vahan Topchyan. Mr. Topchyan believes that happy eyes of children are the best assessment of his art. The Buddy Bear is one of the heroes of the book he decorated, and according it the Bear after long wanderings and adventures eventually finds its dream garden.

The Buddy Bear colored by joint efforts of German and Armenian children has also found its garden; after coloring and decoration it will be placed in the yard of the Berlin Center.
