On September 19 the Day Care Center for the Older People in Gyumri hosted an important visitor: Mr. Ricus Jacometti, a Project Officer from Medicor Foundation and Caritas Liechtenstein.

The purpose of the visit was to observe and monitor the implementation activities at the Center, to see and talk to the beneficiaries and the employees. A thorough discussion with the DCCDE Project Managers Mrs. Flora Sargsyan and Mr. Armen Martirosyan Mr. took place: whether the new Project can be supported only by MEDICOR or there are co-financing possibilities; the positive changes occurred through the Project Implementation; the obstacles that hindered the implementation; the selection criteria and number of beneficiaries in both locations of the Project (Gyumri and Tashir); number of employees and volunteers; possible co-financing in future; local contributions by individuals and by the state structures; Project sustainability options; final reports (narrative and financial), etc.

Mr. Ricus observed the new premises of DCCDE and asked about the advantages of the new facility. The visit was very useful and productive both as a wrap up completed phases of the Project and discussions on its upcoming phase.
