On the first of October there was a commission for people with disabilities which was held the Loris’ provincial administration in the conference hall which was directed by the governor of Lori A. Ghukhasian. The conference was dedicated to the International Day of the Elderly and to the ‘’Armenian Caritas’’ benevolent NGO organizations’ program ‘’Home Care for Elderly’’ in Vanadzor about 12 years of work activity.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed by the director of Armenian Caritas organization G. Tarasian, and by the supervisor of people with disabilities as well the governor of the Loris’ provincial commission A. Ghukhasian. According to the memorandum the Lori Regional Commission which deals of people with disabilities assures that would support and co-operate with Armenian Caritas. About 12 years work activity in Vanadzor was presented by the project coordinator H. Hovsepyan. The Armenian Caritas organization presented the certificates of appreciation to all those structures and individual members which supported and co-operated to the organization for 12 years. During the session the governor A. Ghukhasian suggested to add one more elderly to 80 beneficiaries within the program. He says that the monthly expenses of one beneficiary will be fully compensate by governor. The suggestion was accepted enthusiastically by the members of the organization and by the committee.’’ So we hope that other officials and businessmen will follow to the governor example which will allow a large number of seniors access to care services”,-says the governor. The secretary of commission V. Jaghinian mentioned that one of the most important work of Armenian Caritas is the publication of the ‘’ Patient Care’’ handbook in 2015. He wishes and supports that the book needs republishing as it should be in everyone’s family , mostly in elderly families while providing home care.
