Background
The “ARAMAZD: SEED” project fosters sustainable socio-economic growth in Armenia’s border provinces (Gegharkunik, Lori, and Shirak) by empowering local stakeholders and advancing social economy initiatives. It aims to boost employability and generate sustainable economic opportunities through cross-sector collaboration, capacity building, and the development of social enterprises. The project’s specific objectives include promoting the social economy and employability within the target communities, enhancing beneficiaries’ income-generation potential, increasing employment and self-employment opportunities, and encouraging greater participation in education and professional activities among youth and adults. Key expected outcomes include establishing the social economy as a viable avenue for community development, improving employability in the target areas, and leveraging cross-sector cooperation and community development experiences for broader impact.
Armenian Caritas is looking for a specialist(s) who will work with the project’s team on proposing a comprehensive and impactful communication strategy that will improve the visibility and understanding of the project and increase the stakeholders’ engagement.
Objective
Key objectives include:
- improving project visibility through enhancing tool clarity;
- developing a comprehensive strategy: strengthening local positioning and identification of channels.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communication Management
- Assess the existing communication tools and suggest improvements to make them more user-friendly and in line with the project’s objectives
- Develop and suggest a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with project objectives and Armenian Caritas’s communication strategy and capacity. The communication strategy and tools should improve the understanding and engagement of the project’s stakeholders. It should also have clear metrics and deliverables;
Content Development and simplification
- Create compelling and user-friendly content that clearly articulates the project’s goals, expected results, and the processes involved for various platforms and audiences on the project’s expected results and forwarded activities;
- Work on communication tools to share success stories, case studies, and best practices;
- Develop easy-to-use templates for promotional materials for project activities;
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
- Professional certifications in relevant fields are a plus
- Minimum 3 years of experience in development project communications
- Demonstrated experience in multi-stakeholder communication
- Knowledge of social economy for simplifying technical or project-related materials for diverse audiences.
- Expertise in creating visuals or infographics to explain project tools and activities.
- Experience with donor-funded projects
- Excellent writing and editing skills in Armenian and English
- Strong digital media skills (social media, website management)
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Video editing and production capabilities
- Data visualization skills
- Strong interpersonal and networking abilities
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Team collaboration and leadership
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Deliverables
- A comprehensive communication strategy adapted to the project
- Simplified and redesigned tools (e.g., the application form).
- Media kits and press releases.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in Armenian (required)
- Proficiency in English (preferred)
- Knowledge of Russian (preferred)
