Location: RA, Gegharkunik region, Vardenis community
Beneficiaries:
- 85 women who are:
– living below the poverty line (the income is under 54,040 AMD per person monthly);
– with child/children under 18;
– with the status of unemployment;
– single women/female headed household.
- 50 children aged 2-7. The target are children of the women who will benefit from the project activities ensuring that women have the opportunity to dedicate time to themselves.
Goal: Contribution to promoting the social and economic empowerment of women in Armenia.
Project main activities:
- Establish self-support groups and “Experience sharing room” for women․
- Enable participation of women in meetings and capacity-building opportunities on psycho-social support, positive parenting, etc.
- Provide business development consulting, vocational trainings, career coaching and soft skills․
- Provide seed grants opportunities for self-employed women, based on the principle of competitiveness.
- Provide child-care space for 2-7 year-old children where parents will be able to leave their children while taking part in the WRC activities.
Project results:
- Space for 85 women is established to enable networking, self-support, upskilling in the fields of women rights, social benefits and cultural integration.
- The economic role and competitiveness of 80 women is strengthened.
- Child care accompaniment is provided for mothers of small children, attending the WRC activities.
