From Dortmund to Duisberg, Germans in over 60 cities lit tens of thousands of candles to bring attention to poverty in Armenia as part of the “One Million Stars” campaign.

The campaign, also waged in other European countries, also raised money for Caritas Armenia’s child and youth services projects.

The final exam and fashion show of nine students from the fifth group of the Armenian Caritas project “Handicraft Workshop for Women” took place on October 29, 2010. During the event there were shown the students’ handicraft works, which were made during the last months of study.

The finalists of the project did well in their exams getting excellent grades and qualification of a tailor.

The main objective of the action was to draw public attention to children with disabilities and their issues.
