Strengthening the collaboration of Caritas members in the Euro-Mediterranean region to combat human trafficking

Project Duration: 01.01.2017 – 31.12.2019

Member countries: Caritas Albania, Caritas Armenia, Caritas Bulgaria (Ruse), Caritas Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Caritas Romania (Bucharest), Caritas Kosovo, Caritas Lebanon Migrant Center (CLMC), Caritas Turkey, Caritas Ukraine and SCCF.

Target group: Member state anti-trafficking employees, member countries’ population

Location: Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Romania (Bucharest), Kosovo, Lebanon, Turkey, Ukraine.

Goal:
The overall objective is to strengthen the collaboration of Caritas members in the Euro-Mediterranean region to combat human trafficking.

Objectives:

  1. Increase capacities of network members through professional training and exchanges of experiences and good practices
  2. Advocate on human trafficking at national and international levels towards public authorities through the development of unified tools
  3. Raise awareness of general population on new forms of human trafficking through a common campaign

Activities:

  • It is expected to have training sessions with the involvement of all member state representative on new forms of trafficking, on child protection, advocacy and communication
  • It is also expected to conduct joint research on child trafficking, disseminate its findings and organize a thematic international conference
  • It is planned to shoot a joint video on new forms of trafficking
