On 14 December, a round table- discussion on return and reintegration related issues was initiated by State Migration Service of the RA and Armenian Caritas Benevolent NGO. The goal of the meeting was the presentation of new developments in the field migration, return and reintegration and enforcement of the cooperation and coordination between actors of the field.

Gagik Yeganyan, the head of State Migration Service of the RA updated on the RA Migration Policy Strategy (2017-2021).

Movses Hakobyan, project manager at Armenian Caritas and Anahit Muradyan, Chief Specialist at the department of General education Ministry of Education and Science of RA submitted the achievements of “Building Local Capacities to Reduce Irregular Migration and Trafficking” project and the newly published handbook “Migration” for teachers.

Finally, Tigranuhi Tarakhchyan, project manager at the French office for Immigration and Integration presented the goal and activities of newly approved “Reintegration Policy for Returning Armenian Migrants” project.

Cooperation calls and fruitful recommendations were outlined after each discussed topic.

Memorandum of cooperation was signed between Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of Republic of Armenia, State Migration Service and Armenian Caritas NGO on December 1, 2016.
