Goal:  Provide humanitarian assistance to population affected by the escalation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

Activities: On April 1-5, in 2016 large-scale ceasefire violations took place along the Line of Contact in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, which caused need of humanitarian support to the population being affected. “Armenian Caritas” (“AC”) with the support of “Caritas Italy” to reduce the harm of emergency responded to the humanitarian needs in Nagorno-Karabakh, delivering boxes of food commodities to the humanitarian support coordination body in Stepanakert. The 5 “AC” delegates onboard organized the transportation and delivery of the humanitarian support to the coordination body. The general volume of the aid was 1.88 tones, with 200 boxes containing 13 food items, with 9.4kg each. The boxes were prepared and packed with the active participation of “AC’ volunteers and staff members. The coordination body in Stepanakert was to organize further distribution of the boxes to the affected or displaced population according to their urgent needs and place of temporary settlement.
