Renovation of Lavatories of Hovuni village Project Duration: 16.03.2015 – 03.09.2015 Number of Beneficiaries: 76 Location: Hovuni village Background: Hovuni village is 13 km north-west from the provincial center Gyumri. The village is situated on the right bank of Akhuryan river. 1750m above sea level. The climate is mountainous, with cold and long winters (six months). The ancestors of Hovuni inhabitants emigrated from Basen village in Western Armenia. In Soviet times the population of the village was 1000, now it is 605.

Local level needs assessment in 13 communities Project Duration: 01.06.2016 – 31.03.2017 Number of Beneficiaries: It’s a Need Assessment, interviews with questionnaire. Beneficiaries can be considered 4 provinces (Shirak, Lori, Gegharkunik and Ararat). This is for the future projects. Location: Shirak province – 6 villages, Lori province – 3 villages, Gegharkunik province – 3 villages and Ararat province. Background: A needs assessment is a systematic process for determining and addressing needs, or “gaps” between current conditions and desired conditions or “wants”. The discrepancy between the current condition and wanted condition must be measured to appropriately identify the need.

Project Duration: 01.04.2017-30.11.2017 Number of Beneficiaries:  150 students Location:  Lanjik village Background: The building of «Secondary school of Lanjik» was built in 1987 and it began to function in 1990. The building is exemplary with 392 seats. The last time the school was renovated in 2006 with the state sponsorship, but after the renovation there are a lot of omissions and shortage of inventory.
