Araz Hachadourian has been selected as our Volunteer of the Month for July 2018!

Araz was volunteering in “Armenian Caritas” benevolent NGO during June – July, 2018 in the Public Relations department.

Araz Hachadourian was born and raised in Los Angeles, California and came to Armenia in 2018 as a volunteer with Birthright Armenia—her first time back since 2004.

She is a volunteer in the city of Gyumri. The rich history of Gyumri, the attitudes and hospitality of the residents pleasantly surprised Araz.

Araz worked in journalism and communications field after graduating from San Francisco State University. Her work has covered issues such as social justice and community development. She came to Armenia in May at the end of the Velvet Revolution and was thrilled to see the determination and hope of the people in action.

She’s excited to be working with an organization that provides such a breadth of services from relief work to entrepreneurial trainings and hopes to contribute to spreading the word of their good work to more people.
