Providing Basic Living Conditions to Seven Highly Vulnerable Households in Ararat Region

Location: Ararat Region, Armenia

Background: Ararat Marz (Armenian name for province/region) is one of the ten regions of Armenia with about 260.000 inhabitants, located in the western part of Armenia, bordering with Turkey and Nakhichevan. Ararat Marz is one of the economically  most developed region in Armenia, especially agriculture, but the general unemployment rate still remains high.

Goal: The Goal of the project is to provide basic living conditions to seven highly vulnerable households living in Ararat Marz, RoA.

Objectives:

  • Seven highly vulnerable households in Ararat Marz are provided with basic accommodation facilities to ensure decent living conditions.
  • Seven highly vulnerable households in Ararat Marz are provided with material, healthcare, psychological, social and legal support to contribute to their sustainability and bring positive changes in their lives.

Activities:

  • Constructing or purchasing accommodation for the target households (depending on the situation)
  • Installation of heating means at the houses of the target beneficiaries
  • Material support for the target beneficiaries
  • Social, psychological and legal consultations and support
